About the Session
Take a deep dive into the intricate and shifting world of healthcare policy. Most experts agree that health reform isn’t over—it’s just more complicated and touches almost every person in the United States to some degree. Questions surround the repeal or replacement of the ACA, the solvency and future of Medicare and Medicaid programs, and how Americans will deal with drug issues—both access to high-cost therapeutics and misuse of opioids and other prescription medication. The ongoing discussions and confrontations that occur between the executive, legislative and judicial branches of the government provide additional murkiness to the nation’s healthcare agenda. Join in this lively presentation that will be led by Thomas Nickels—AHA’s front seat to the healthcare policy debate.
- Explore the current and shifting state of healthcare policy amidst the pandemic.
- Discover strategies to advocate for quality healthcare and the local and national levels.
