Hackathon! A Team-Based Approach to Drive Innovation

Wednesday, March 25th

About the Session

New at Congress! A hackathon is an exciting way to drive innovation by forming diverse, cross-functional teams to debate solutions, then selecting one for a pitch. Hackathons help leaders solve vexing problems, build a culture of innovation, and increase teamwork and collaboration, all while networking with their peers. Participants will not only develop creative solutions, but will have a new skill to bring back to their organizations.

This experiential event is offered to the first 150 attendees who pre-register. Hackathon participants will form groups upon arrival, receive challenge statements, collaborate with colleagues to create innovative solutions, and wrap up the event with a brief pitch to peers and a panel of judges.

There is no additional fee associated with this session. The session is not eligible for continuing education credit.

Learning Objectives:

  • Investigate how to ideate and problem-solve around a specific challenge
  • Synthesize a pitch and articulate a solution
