About the Session

Leaders from all sectors within the healthcare industry are pivoting to a new normal following the onset of COVID-19. Those that have survived owe their success to being able to lead with an ecosystem perspective and have mastered the art of developing strategies across various sectors to meet the needs of their communities. These are concepts covered in Duberman and Sach’s HAP-published book “From Competition to Collaboration,” a guide that will be provided to attendees. To navigate the complexities of the pandemic and healthcare in general, we posit that leaders from the various sectors of the industry must expand beyond their organization’s four walls and consider strategic partnerships with others in the health ecosystem to generate and advance innovative solutions. Our session focuses on best practice in cross-sector collaboration to create innovative means for thriving in this new world.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize the importance of adopting an “ecosystem” mindset to improve health outcomes and understand the capabilities required to lead with a health ecosystem mindset.
  • Learn strategies for applying these capabilities within one’s own organization and across sectors to thrive in the new health ecosystem created by COVID-19.
