Competencies and Collaboration for Industry Success in Health Value: A Special Session With the Accountable Care Learning Collaborative

Wednesday, March 25th

About the Session

The healthcare industry is at an inflection point: achieving value in healthcare is critical to providing patients the best care and health possible, while allowing the nation to remain competitive in a global economy. Though much of the industry is focused on developing new and alternative payment models, there has been a lack of focus on the counterpart effort, which is ensuring that provider organizations are able to succeed under the new models. Join Governor Leavitt and his guests as he explores the competencies the healthcare industry needs to cultivate as it transforms, and why industry collaboration is critical to ensure success.

  • Detail national pressures that promote shifting from the status quo of fee-for-service toward value-based payment models
  • Present competencies that organizations need to develop in order to succeed in value-based payment models and explore examples of collaboration, highlighting successes and lessons for the healthcare industry
