About the Session
In today’s healthcare environment, every professional must learn leadership and professional skills, but how do leaders teach, develop and assess these competencies in others? In this session, Dr. Pate will discuss the crucial leadership and professional skills needed to effectuate cultural change in today’s healthcare environment. He also will describe the transformational change and remarkable outcomes that have occurred at St. Luke’s during the past decade. AUPHA’s Graduate Program and Practitioner Workshop will immediately follow Dr. Pate’s presentation, offering participants an opportunity to engage in interactive exercises and share how they approach these skills. Since joining St. Luke’s Health System in 2009, Dr. Pate has worked to transform St. Luke’s into an integrated healthcare delivery system that includes service partnerships and relationships with other healthcare organizations in the region, and to ensure the financial foundation that supports the visionary development of the system. This is a complimentary event; registration is required.
