About the Session

Healthcare is rapidly transforming from an inpatient model with entry and feeder physician offices to a comprehensive delivery system comprised primarily of ambulatory and virtual services, with hospitals reserved for the minority of sick patients who require a specialized inpatient expertise. This program summarizes the key strategic initiatives required to create a successful ambulatory portfolio, including the inevitability of cultural transformation, the need to engage and align with all strategic partners, and how to approach redesigning your medical staff, along with becoming HIM adept and literate; optimizing quality, safety, customer service and loyalty through standardized practices; collaborating to continuously reduce operating costs; building a population health infrastructure; and creating or transforming a delivery and business model.
