46A – Leadership to Drive Safety, Quality and Experience Across the Continuum

Tuesday, March 24th

About the Session

Healthcare market dynamics continue to shift, impacting every corner of the industry. Understanding the intersection of safety, quality and experience are often not intuitive. Improvement efforts in these individual silos often work in parallel at best, but more often they work against each other, leading to confusion, calls for prioritization and workforce disengagement. There is no shortcut for achieving transformational change in healthcare. Meeting the needs of patients and creating a purpose-driven workforce requires senior leaders’ commitment to work across hierarchical and functional boundaries toward an aligned culture of excellence.

This seminar will showcase recent cross-domain analytics that demonstrates the intersection and integration of these silos. Faculty will share a blueprint for transformation that can identify ways to focus improvement efforts where it has the greatest impact for patients and providers. Additionally, case studies and stories will bring the data to life and provide opportunities for interactive discussion during the session. The result will be a better understanding of the interconnectedness of the data and a path forward to use data to drive improvement in a more focused and integrated fashion in your organization.

Learning Objectives:

  • Analyze cross-domain data that demonstrates the integration of safety, quality, experience and engagement to drive improvement.
  • Discuss key drivers of performance for focused improvement that unites and aligns siloed improvement efforts.
