About the Session

This session will fully explain the leadership and management structure required for a healthcare organization to achieve high reliability safety on the order of commercial aviation, nuclear power and aircraft carriers, and operational excellence to match. Starting with leadership from the board of directors and chief executive officer as core requirements, a hospital, healthcare system or ambulatory center can develop organizational structures and processes that eliminate harm rather than simply reduce it. The speakers will explain how the same kind of process improvements can improve operational efficiency, employee engagement and profitability.
