About the Session

Leaders’ moral obligation to their employees and patients is driven by emotion. This session uses emotional storytelling and real-life examples to motivate healthcare leaders to view your role in patient safety and quality as a deep-seated obligation. You will learn about your obligation to employees, the mechanics of employee engagement, and the negative implications of employee disengagement from quality and safety initiatives. You also will examine paradigms for more effective leadership, management of board expectations related to quality and how to handle employee burnout in the face of increasing complexity.

Seminar 22 will be held at the Palmer House Hilton; includes a 15-minute break.
