About the Session

Today’s healthcare challenges are no secret: Costs are skyrocketing, care is getting worse and fee-for-service insurance platforms are creating a costly barrier, preventing care for people who need it most. Though there are dozens of possible solutions to these challenges, healthcare in the United States remains largely unchanged because changing the way care is delivered isn’t easy. There are some organizations, however, that are rising to the challenge. During this session, discover how Oak Street Health is reframing the way healthcare is delivered. You will learn from a model that absorbs the full financial risk for patients and offers more holistic services beyond primary care such as transportation to and from appointments, behavioral health, podiatry, in-center pharmacies, longer appointment times with providers and community-centered activities. Presenters will share impressive results achieved through the model. You will be inspired with ideas for achieving success by doing what’s right for patients.

Seminar 18 will be held at the Palmer House Hilton; includes a 15-minute break.
