About the Session
When rapid growth involves a variety of complex business venture models, service-line integration is needed to enhance standardization. Specialists associated with the newly integrated partners may not inherently align with institutional values; however, due to high national demand of key services such as radiology and cardiology, alignment between groups is critical since backfilling these services with existing providers is not always feasible. Health systems need active engagement from provider end users of enterprise imaging solutions to select and/or optimize the best solution to meet the current and future needs of the organization. This session will provide guidance on how to structure an enterprise imaging governance committee and demonstrate the value of a named provider chair. It also will demonstrate how leadership competencies can be used to support the committee members in identifying and capturing their key outcome needs and concerns to develop meaningful dashboards associated with informatics expectations. Furthermore, the session will outline how to optimize the time of governance team members, use soft-skills to maintain trust with committee partners during technology transition periods and provide insight into managing ongoing integration and trust building with new partner providers.
