About the Session

This session discusses recent trends in provider burnout using 2018–2019 national benchmark data and dives into different segmentations for identifying areas that are most at-risk. Understanding the issues behind burnout is a starting point, but fixing the problem also involves personal accountability and facilitating action. Learn from Harris Health System, one of the largest safety-net hospitals in the United States with more than 60 percent of its population uninsured, about the ways it is effectively overcoming burnout within the organization while also improving clinical outcomes. The tactics adopted by HHS and lessons learned will be explored. Additionally, you will walk away with a tangible set of steps and an action plan to use at your own organization.
