About the Session
This seminar will begin with an overview of what strategic challenges and potentially new opportunities have led to the need to create better integration across organizations. Key implications for healthcare leaders will be identified. The program will then move into an overview of potential frameworks and approaches at the presenters’ organizations that have led to greater collaboration and cocreation of more successful outcomes. Strategy leaders from Sheppard Pratt and Spectrum Health will illustrate their approaches and then engage the audience in an interactive discussion to delve into how to identify gaps within their own organizations. Review examples of those gaps, and what successful elements of the presented approaches may be useful as a starting point or as a further iteration from your current state.
You will envision “first steps or next steps” in your organizational transformation to ensure collaboration, create much needed coalitions and seek diverse inputs. Faculty will share skills required to bring about this change, including coalition building, facilitation, open collaboration and integrative thinking. This will help you identify potential skill gaps and learning opportunities as well as demonstrate how these skills magnify the ability of organizations to plan and deliver necessary change more quickly.
