About the Session
This presentation will begin with an overview of the current state of ethical leadership within healthcare. It will introduce the two core components of being an ethical leader: being a moral person and a moral manager. It will then focus on four subcategories of being a moral manager: Expressing ethics as a priority; communicating clear expectations around ethical responses; using the right incentives to drive behavior; and talking about values in decision making and practicing ethical decision making. With these core concepts in mind, the presenters will discuss practical tips and strategies for ethical leadership. Presenters will employ real case studies to exemplify learning objectives. The session will end with an interactive question-and-answer segment.
