About the Session
When fully leveraged, advanced practice providers directly contribute to an organization’s ability to achieve key strategic goals, including increased capacity for ambulatory and acute care, improved access to care, higher visit volumes and revenue, increased new patient visits, reduced costs, and better patient and provider experience. During this seminar, presenters from two large health systems will describe how they are realizing the full potential of their physician and APP provider complement by positioning their APPs as professional providers with appropriate resources and support, and with clear expectations about productivity, quality and patient experience.
These organizations have taken bold steps to develop their APP operating models and maximize return on investment. They will share how these changes are impacting their organizations and returning financial value to the health system in terms of greater volume, increased revenue, reduced costs and improved patient satisfaction. Presenters also will describe the change management and physician engagement strategies that have been key to embedding structural and process changes throughout the organization. You will have the opportunity to interact and engage with the speakers and each other throughout the session and during a dedicated question and answer period and small group discussions. You will also receive a quantification methodology and assessment approach for realizing full potential value of your own APP program.
Learning Objectives:
- Define an effective approach for incorporating advanced practice providers in care delivery across the enterprise to realize full value potential.
- Examine a quantification methodology to understand return on investment of an APP program that is optimally deployed.
