About the Session

Many healthcare providers and payers are working to solve social determinants of health and understand how to measure impacts, prioritize efforts or build a scalable program. This interactive seminar will provide you an opportunity to hear firsthand from UnitedHealthcare leaders how to establish and manage a portfolio of effective solutions. Topics to be covered include the business case for doing so; how to identify interventions that align with the organization’s values and community needs; how to prioritize efforts and develop a streamlined approach; the nuances and ins and outs of running such a program; and insights as to why the industry as a whole should adopt a similar mindset. Through an engaging panel discussion and audience question-and-answer polling, you will walk away with an inside look at the importance of addressing the social determinants of health, how large organizations are tackling them, and new perspectives on how you can adapt these learnings to your own programs and organization.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the importance of addressing social determinants of health from both mission and business points of view.
  • Compare and apply approaches to social determinants programs and investing.
