About the Session

Like many other industries, healthcare is undergoing significant change. Five key drivers impact the rapid advance in artificial intelligence technology as it relates to the potential application in healthcare: exponential growth in computer power over the past decades; availability of large datasets for machine learning training; machine learning technique improvement; increased commercial and government investment in AI research; and use of EHRs and digital health information. Collectively, the five drivers of AI technology coupled with the abundance of data stored on patients may help organizations understand disease at a fundamentally better level to facilitate treatment and therapeutics more effectively and efficiently. This seminar will highlight how AI specifically can be leveraged to improve quality across the healthcare enterprise.

Faculty will share four steps to leveraging AI using a novel C.A.R.E. model: collection of clinical data; analysis of collected clinical data using machine learning and natural language processing; risk-adjusted clinical outcomes and data reporting using robotic process automation; and evaluation of providers, group practice and performance through feedback and practice outcome comparisons. Learn how adopting a C.A.R.E. model strategy, enhanced by AI technologies, can improve your organization’s existing analytical systems across the enterprise to promote value.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define AI technology platforms and how to select specific AI technologies for practical application within your organization.
  • Recognize the correct approach to using AI and discover eight steps required to achieve transformational change using AI.
