107A – Collaborative Physician Engagement for Global Performance Evolution

Wednesday, March 25th
10:45am12:15pm

About the Session

Physicians are a critical success factor for creating sustainable change and transforming culture, and their decisions impact clinical and nonclinical outcomes for the entire organization. Healthcare leaders must harvest the value that their most highly trained clinical operators possess, but many leaders struggle to identify effective engagement tools, techniques and structure to address their most pressing problems. Much of the available literature lacks a practical and applied focus on creating meaningful and sustainable physician engagement, cultural transformation, and clinical and nonclinical outcomes improvement. A clear and navigable approach and process can produce sustained, on-the-ground performance improvement and enhance physician engagement and cultural transformation.

This seminar will introduce a practical, applied and proven physician engagement model for cultural transformation and global outcomes improvement. Faculty will provide methodical and effective physician engagement approaches, techniques, processes and structures. You will hear real-world mini case studies that illustrate successful and unsuccessful physician engagement initiatives and sustained clinical and nonclinical outcomes. You will leave with several tools for enhancing physician engagement.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discover how to use a more systematic and structured physician engagement approach for global outcomes improvement and cultural transformation.
  • Learn the fundamentals, practical application and value of physician engagement.
