101 – Making the Business Case for Value: Integrating Quality and Finance

This session will be held at the Swissôtel Chicago; includes a 15-minute break.

This seminar will provide a proven systematic approach for developing an effective business case for improving quality and safety in a value-based environment. Faculty will share a step-by-step approach to creating a sound business case. Real-world case study examples will be used to relate the approach. You will work in small groups with other attendees to build a sample business case. The session is especially applicable to nonfinancial healthcare leaders such as physicians and other clinicians; however, experienced financial managers will learn how to present the approach to their clinical leaders. You will take away an effective team-driven method for improving quality and safety while improving financial acumen to better manage scarce resources in your organization.
