About the Session
During this session, a physician chief of staff at a large regional health system, a doctoral-level nurse with many years’ expereince coaching nurse managers, and a COO charged with producing CFO-validated bottom-line impact will discuss their experiences raising the performance bar at a regional health system. The team experienced success by involving community, nonemployed physicians in a parallel rapid improvement change model. They did so by leveraging the strengths of the organization’s contemporary clinical structure. The faculty will share the actions taken to achieve results-to-date and lessons learned along the way.
- Describe the success of pairing a clinical director-driven rapid improvement model with an existing clinical co-management structure to produce CFO-validated high impact results.
- Using a case study, discuss how to design, implement, monitor and communicate physician change at the department and organizational levels.
