Leadership Insights: Payer Perspectives—Trends, Affordability and Navigating What's Next
Tuesday, March 21
9:00–10:30 a.m.
Every American deserves affordable coverage that provides access to high-quality care. As health insurance providers work to deliver on this commitment, they face increasing pressures in the underlying costs of medical care, mental health care access and prescription drugs. During this panel, leading executives will examine the latest trends that are impacting premiums and out-of-pocket costs for consumers, as well as potential policy and business solutions. Topics will include the impact of hospital consolidation, the effect of private equity in healthcare, the cost of new biologics, the promise of new technologies and approaches to address the shortage of mental health care clinicians in America. These experts will examine the issues from the perspectives of all healthcare coverage markets: employer-provided coverage, individual market, Medicare Advantage and Medicaid managed care.
