Leadership Insights: It Takes a Village—Partnering for Success to Prevent Gun Violence

Gun violence rates have steadily increased throughout the United States, and hospitals and health systems are at the center of treatment and recovery for many individuals and communities. As a result, healthcare leaders have a unique and important role to play in gun violence prevention, but they cannot do it alone. Partnerships with public health agencies, researchers and community-based organizations are critical in tackling this issue holistically. This session will feature leading experts and stakeholders in this space as they share best practices in leveraging cross-sector partnerships to interrupt the cycle of gun violence and create safer, healthier communities for all.
