Leadership Insights: Healthcare’s Next Frontier Will Go Beyond the Hospital
Monday, March 20
10:00–11:30 a.m.
From the rise in digital health to increasing investment in hospital-at-home programs, healthcare is undoubtedly shifting outside the four walls of the hospital and engaging alternative sites of care across the continuum. At the crux of this shift are increasingly savvy healthcare consumers and a widening gap in health disparities that is impacting how large swaths of the country perceive traditional brick-and-mortar hospitals. In fact, a 2022 survey by Deloitte’s Center for Health Solutions found that consumers of color and those in younger generations are increasingly considering retail clinics for their future healthcare needs. This points to an undeniable imperative for hospitals and health systems to shift the who, what, where, when and why of how care is delivered. Another 2022 Deloitte report quantified cost of health inequities at $320 billion today and $1 trillion in 2040 without change in delivery. Join this thought-provoking session with nationally known healthcare leaders as they share insights into why and how care is shifting to alternative sites, and how healthcare organizations can stay competitive while making strides toward an equitable future for health.
