Leadership Insights: Bridging the Leadership Gender Gap in Healthcare
Monday, March 20
4:30–5:30 p.m.
Women make up more than 75% of the healthcare workforce. Yet, women hold less than 15% of CEO positions in health systems. This gender equity gap at the top makes it nearly impossible for organizations to create a culture where women can thrive. That’s why our industry is realizing the urgent need to focus on women’s advancement, pinpoint the barriers holding them back and move toward gender equity in leadership roles. In this session, Linkage CEO and leadership expert Jennifer McCollum will explore the trends affecting women in today’s workforce and what healthcare organizations must do to overcome the gender gap in leadership. Drawing on valuable insights from data Linkage has collected from thousands of women leaders for more than 25 years, Ms. McCollum will highlight the unique challenges that women face as they rise and how organizations can provide support in overcoming them. This session is critical for any executive wishing to accelerate gender equity across all levels and roles.
