Emerging Executive Boot Camp

Sunday, March 19

8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

The Emerging Executive Boot Camp is ideal for relatively new managers and more experienced managers seeking a fresh approach to leading a team, department or division with confidence. Explore how your role is part of the big picture of the organization and how to advance your career. Learn how to effectively choose, coach, retain and, if necessary, reposition members of your functional team, and become an effective, productive and organized manager in the process. Discuss the fundamentals of budgeting and resource allocation while focusing on key objectives and strategies needed to assume greater responsibility and authority. Delve into effective interviewing skills and coaching techniques with the help of hands-on, interactive exercises and facilitated discussions.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify how to be a more successful healthcare manager by exploring the “soft” people skills that gain respect and support from subordinates and superiors.
  • Explore the structural changes and interpersonal skills needed to manage and transition your career into positions of increased responsibility and satisfaction.

Healthcare leaders can sign up for this session during Congress registration, or choose to attend independently.
