89H - Navigating Forward on Workforce and Revenue Cycle Enhancement Opportunities

SUNY UHB faces a challenging operating and market environment. Leadership has taken measured steps to bring forward structured performance analytics (even in times of data scarcity) as well as a pragmatic approach to documenting and coding initiatives to make meaningful strides to improve operating performance. Join presenters as they talk through specific initiatives, tools and approaches that have made a positive impact at this important academic and community institution.
The first focus of the session will be on workforce enhancement. Dr. Berger will share how SUNY UHB adapted Press Ganey Lean Green Belt training and how the organization was able to align departmental workload redistribution, adopt workflow redesigns, leadership and management competency development, dashboard reporting, and sustainability.
Presenters also will review the advancements SUNY UHB made related to revenue improvements. Learn how the organization continues to address top-line revenue growth opportunities, including CDI Performance Reporting and Analytics, their Physician Documentation Initiative and the organization’s Patient Status Optimization.
