Healthcare has long discussed the importance of creating a culture that encourages speaking up, a need greatly accelerated as the recent years have required teams to quickly create new processes, provide care differently and work with fewer resources. This session will describe the tenets of psychological safety and its vital role in creating and sustaining a culture of innovation and safety. Easy to implement, evidence-based strategies to increase the free and uninhibited flow of information to increase psychological safety will be described in detail.
