28H - Practice Makes Perfect: Lessons Learned From Complex Construction Projects
Monday, March 20
4:30–5:30 p.m.
Using a collaborative model helps plan, design and construct a complex, multipurpose venue with timeless appeal and state-of-the-art technology. This session will detail a journey that began as what seemed to be an unattainable vision, using lessons learned from other projects to transform our dream into a beautiful venue not typically found in rural America. Faculty will provide a framework for alignment, accountability and progress mapping across all construction trades, supply chain vendors and internal stakeholders. Practical process checklists, suggested Gantt chart timelines, and measurement reporting are all guides that will be provided to attendees during and after the session.
Learning Objectives
- Review the importance of alignment, ownership and buy-in throughout every phase of the project.
- Understand how to navigate the many layers of construction management up to and through the final stages.
