27H - Facilitate Like a Pro: Constructing Meetings That Help Others Consider, Decide and Act
Monday, March 20
4:30–5:30 p.m.
In today’s meetings a presentation alone won’t carry the day. The audience, colleagues, the board of directors all want their voices heard. Old and and ineffective ways to elicit a team discussion might have been suggesting that attendees turn to the person next to them and converse or saying, “That’s it…any questions?” Effective facilitation begins with a mindset focused on the wisdom that lies within the group, not within an individual alone. Have you grown tired of the “same old, same old” at face-to-face and virtual meetings? Come and join us for an interactive session to help you learn to facilitate like a pro.
Learning Objectives
- Discuss what makes a meeting constructive from the perspective of the attendees.
- Develop strategies to change the way your next meeting is done to facilitate the best ideas of those present.
