16H - Finding Your Way in Hospital Leadership as a Diversity Candidate

Navigating work-life balance in today’s healthcare system is difficult. Diversity candidates face particular challenges in navigating their lives and careers between multiple cultural worlds and racial and institutional bias. This session will look at these challenges and provide perspectives and methods to manage bias, career planning and living in multiple cultural settings simultaneously.
Learning Objectives
- Define different forms of bias and learn specific techniques for managing them.
- Introduce techniques for transitioning between cultural settings as a leader and successfully managing cognitive diversity to optimize performance.
