05X - Transforming the Medicare Advantage Experience with Payer and Provider Partnerships - A Mutually Beneficial Approach
Monday, March 20
10:00–11:30 a.m.
Medicare Advantage is the fastest growing coverage type, with expectations it will reach around 34 million lives covered and make up more than half of eligible Medicare beneficiaries by 2023. As complexities and changes continue in the healthcare industry, organizations are challenged to attract and retain this growing population by providing an exceptional, differentiated experience. Significant opportunities exist for providers and health plans to overcome these complex challenges and deliver on the patient promise of providing safe, high-quality, patient-centered care through innovative collaborative relationships. This session will provide insights on identifying root causes of Medicare Advantage patient dissatisfaction and how it relates to both the payer and provider experience. During this educational session, we will explore alignment between provider groups and the health plan, how the provider patient experience influences payer performance and vice versa, and how these findings can lead to identifying opportunities for significant improvement in MA growth, as well as STARs and MCAHPS performance.
