Brandi H. Newman is Senior Vice President of Strategic Operations for Community & Social Impact at Advocate Health, one of the largest, not-for-profit health systems in the nation. Brandi has executive oversight of the day-to-day strategic operations that position Advocate Health as a national leader in community and social impact and health equity.
Brandi has over 20 years of healthcare leadership experience in hospital operations, nursing, service line strategy, human resources, health equity and community and social impact. She joined Atrium Health in 2005 and has held various leadership roles within the organization. She began her career as a women's health staff nurse at UNC Health.
Brandi holds a Bachelor of Science with honors in nursing and a Master of Science in nursing with a focus in health care systems administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She currently serves on the Board of Visitors at UNC Chapel Hill and for the School of Nursing where she is also adjunct faculty. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Charlotte Works.
She is board certified as an Advanced Nurse Executive by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
