Dr. Khalid A. Alburikan is a distinguished transformational leader with extensive experience in health strategy, investment, and the life sciences sector. Currently serving as the Advisor to His Excellency the Vice Minister of Health and Biotechnology Lead at the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia, he plays a pivotal role in advancing healthcare investments, private sector engagement, and biotechnology initiatives under the framework of Vision 2030 and the National Biotechnology Strategy.
Dr. Alburikan’s career spans over two decades, with leadership roles in government, academia, and the pharmaceutical industry. He has held executive positions at global pharmaceutical companies such as Eli Lilly and Sanofi, where he led cross-functional teams, developed market access strategies, and drove business growth across therapeutic areas. His tenure as the Senior Director in the GCC solidified his expertise in healthcare policy, go to market, and value creation.
Dr. Alburikan holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and a Master of Business Administration from Saudi Electronic University in collaboration with the University of Denver. His postdoctoral training includes Fellowship and a Pharmacy Practice at the University of North Carolina.
