Jason D'Antona, PE, LEED AP, is a seasoned electrical engineer with over 30 years of experience specializing in the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of healthcare facilities. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering & Utilities at Mass General Brigham in Boston, MA, Jason oversees engineering operations across a network of hospitals and research institutions. He is a recognized leader in healthcare electrical systems, contributing to national standards and codes.
In his role at Mass General Brigham, Jason leads engineering and utility operations across multiple healthcare facilities, including Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital. He chairs the NFPA 99 Electrical Systems Technical Committee, influencing national healthcare facility codes, and is a principal member of the NFPA 110 Technical Committee, contributing to standards for emergency and standby power systems.
Jason has been involved in major infrastructure projects, such as a new 6 MW generator plant for an academic medical center and a 500 kW photovoltaic microgrid for an NGO hospital. Previously, he served as the Chief Electrical Engineer at Partners HealthCare, overseeing electrical engineering for 12 million square feet of healthcare, research, and academic facilities, and establishing policies governing the design, testing, and maintenance of hospital electrical power systems.
Earlier in his career, Jason was a principal at Thompson Consultants, Inc., where he led a mechanical, electrical, and plumbing consulting engineering firm specializing in healthcare facility design. He managed projects focused on electrical infrastructure hardening and energy efficiency.
Jason holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Villanova University. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in multiple states, a LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP), and a Senior Member of IEEE. He has contributed to ANSI/IEEE Standard 602, authored chapters in the 2015 NFPA 99 Handbook, and contributed to ASHRAE SP-91.
