Texas Children’s Hospital
Debra F. Sukin, PhD, is the president and CEO of Texas Children’s Hospital, one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive pediatric and women’s healthcare organizations. She oversees all administrative and clinical areas of the Texas Children’s system, which includes four hospital locations in the Texas Medical Center, Katy, the Woodlands, and Austin, as well as more than 70 pediatric clinic and urgent care locations across the state. In addition, she leads the Texas Children’s Health Plan, the Texas Children’s Research Institute, and the Jan and Dan Duncan Neurological Research Institute. Texas Children’s has a long-standing affiliation with Baylor College of Medicine, serving as their primary pediatric training site with a shared commitment to excellence in clinical care, education and research.
Prior to joining Texas Children’s, Sukin served as executive vice president of Houston Methodist, where she was responsible for five suburban hospitals. She also served as CEO of Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital.
Sukin earned a PhD in health policy and health management from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She received her Master of Healthcare Administration degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
