Career Insights & Advancement
Each year, over 200,000 service members leave the military. Seven percent of the total force is in healthcare, which translates to a potential labor pool of 14,000 trained and experienced personnel. They bring planning, organization, management and leadership skills. However, they often face challenges in translating their experience into civilian terms. They also need to learn how to navigate the complexities of actually finding a job: deciding whether to follow an opportunity or limit oneself geographically, where and how to apply, leveraging connections, and salary negotiations. This session addresses those topics and dives deeper into resumes, interviews and compensation.
