UMMC School of Health Related Professions

The University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Health Related Professions (SHRP) is dedicated to improving lives by achieving the highest standards of performance in education, research and healthcare; promoting the value of professionalism and lifelong learning among students, faculty and staff; finding solutions to the challenges of health disparities in Mississippi; recruiting and retaining high performing students and faculty; and graduating outstanding health care professionals.

Originally established in 1971, SHRP has awarded more than 6,000 degrees to date. 

The school offers baccalaureate programs in Health Systems Administration, Histotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science and Radiologic Sciences. Post Baccalaureate Certificate programs are available in Health Informatics and Leadership and Management. SHRP also offers master's programs in Health Informatics and Information Management, Health Systems Administration, Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Technology, as well as doctoral programs in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy and Health Administration.
