Chief Bradford Conner brings over four decades of distinguished service to law enforcement, currently serving as Police Chief and Associate Vice President of Security and Voice Operations at ProMedica Health System in Toledo, Ohio. With a team of more than 180 professionals—including police officers, security personnel, educators, and technology experts—he leads efforts to maintain regulatory compliance and foster a secure healthcare environment.
Before joining ProMedica, Chief Conner dedicated 35 years to the Bowling Green Police Department, where he rose through the ranks to become Chief of Police. He is a proud alumnus of Bowling Green State University and has completed elite leadership programs such as the FBI National Academy, Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command, the Ohio Police Executive Leadership College, and the Certified Law Enforcement Executive program. His specialized training also includes Homeland Security’s Weapons of Mass Destruction response course in Anniston, Alabama.
Chief Conner’s career includes overseeing high-profile security operations, including coordinating with the U.S. Secret Service for presidential and political visits from 1988 to 2012. He continues to shape the profession as a Lead Assessor for the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) and remains actively involved with IAHSS, IACP, and OACP. In recognition of his exemplary leadership and service, he received the esteemed Theodore Jones Award from the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police in 2014.
Outside of his professional life, Brad enjoys time with his wife, Judy, their son Brock Michael, and their lively household of one dog and four cats.
