Tawnya Tretschok is the Chief Operating Officer for Banner University Medical Group, where she is responsible for the strategic and administrative operations of the academic clinical departments, including 23 outpatient clinic locations. She is a seasoned executive known for building strong physician partnerships, leading high-performing teams, and driving organizational excellence in complex healthcare environments. Her career spans leadership roles across hospital systems, physician networks, and integrated care delivery models, where she has consistently delivered results through innovation, collaboration, and a deep understanding of clinical and operational needs, committed to serving the communities of Southern Arizona.
Cultivating strong working relationships has been the hallmark of Tawnya’s 30+ year career. Shas a proven track record of success in leading clinical and financial operations to deliver results across both public and academic settings, spanning the continuum of group practice administration. Over the years, she has become known for her accessible leadership style and adept ability to build and lead highly effective teams.
Throughout her career, Tawnya has earned a reputation for fostering trusted relationships with physicians, ensuring alignment between clinical excellence and business performance. A passionate advocate for team development, she has led dynamic, cross-functional teams through periods of significant growth, transformation, and industry change.
Tawnya completed her Master of Arts in Organizational Management at the University of Phoenix and Bachelor of Science from the University of Arizona. Actively involved in her community, she has held various board appointments, including the Children’s Clincs of Southern Arizona, Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona, the Eller College Industry Advisory Board of Directors, and Past Chairman and current member of the Reid Park Zoological Society.
