Michael C. McGarry is a seasoned healthcare innovation leader and Senior Vice President of Venture Acceleration at MATTER, a global healthcare innovation community dedicated to transforming health and healthcare. In this role, he drives strategic initiatives to support and scale impactful healthtech solutions.
With more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Michael has a track record of developing innovative programs and medical technologies—from concept and clinical evaluation through commercialization. Before joining MATTER, he founded Forvida, a consulting practice focused on user-centered health solutions, and served as Director of the Innovations Accelerator Team at Ascension, where he oversaw technology evaluation and new care models.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, and he is named on multiple patents and publications in medical device and therapeutic innovation.
