Ryane Jackson joined Houston Methodist in 2012 and currently serves as the vice president for the Office of Community Benefits. Her role focuses on leading Houston Methodist's efforts to provide access to health and social services for underserved and underrepresented communities through cultivation of community nonprofit partnerships, guiding charitable strategic investments for the hospital system and supporting overall health equity for the diverse communities served by the health care system.
Prior to her role as vice president, Jackson concurrently served as the director of community benefits and as the director for the Office of Global Education & Training for Houston Methodist Global Health Care Services, a sub-corporation of Houston Methodist.
Before this, Jackson served as the assistant director of annual giving at the University of St. Thomas. This work included the creation of the first African-American alumni organization at a Catholic university in Texas at the time, the St. Martin de Porres Society. Jackson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Master of Liberal Arts in Public Relations from the University of St. Thomas. She is also a senior fellow with American Leadership Forum and serves on the Board of Directors for Target Hunger Houston and on the Board of Directors for the YMCA of Greater Houston.
