Gordon Carr MD serves as the Chief Medical Officer for Banner Health's two academic medical centers in Tucson, Arizona (Banner University Medical Center Tucson and South, BUMCT/S). These facilties are the major clinical teaching sites for the University of Arizona College of Medicine, and provide the full range of services to the people and communities of Southern Arizona. Dr. Carr attended medical school at the University of Virginia, followed by residency and fellowship training at the University of Chicago. He joined the faculty of the Unviersity of Arizona College of Medicine in 2011, specializing in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine. After serving in progressive physicain leadership roles, he became Chief Medical Officer following the formal affiliation of Banner Health and the University of Arizona.
