President/CEO, Ardent Health
Marty Bonick, FACHE, is the president and CEO of Ardent Health, one of the largest public health systems in the United States. With over $6 billion in net revenue, Ardent operates 30 hospitals and more than 280 care sites across mid-sized urban markets nationwide. The organization employs over 24,000 team members, including 1,800+ aligned providers, who collectively deliver care through more than 5.5 million patient encounters annually.
A seasoned healthcare executive with more than 25 years of leadership experience, Bonick has a proven track record of driving growth, innovation and quality improvement across diverse healthcare environments. His background spans for-profit, nonprofit, public and privately held organizations, and includes leadership roles in academic medical centers, multi-site health systems and physician services organizations.
Bonick is a Fellow of ACHE and actively contributes to the industry through board service. He serves on the boards of the Federation of American Hospitals, the Nashville Health Care Council, and Community Hospital Corporation, as well as the Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) at Auburn University.
He holds dual master’s degrees in healthcare administration and information management from Washington University in St. Louis, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Illinois.
