Michelle Wallace, DNP, RN, TCRN, NEA-BC, FACHE is Executive Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer at Grady Health System in Atlanta, GA. She is responsible for the Corporate Nursing Services, including all Inpatient care areas, Emergency and Trauma Services, Burn Service Line, Emergency Management, Georgia Poison Center, as well as oversight of CHOA- Hughes Spaulding and Crestview Long Term Care. She has been a Registered Nurse for 30 years with background in Trauma, Critical Care and Emergency Medicine and has spent the last almost 14 years at Grady.
Michelle received her Bachelor’s degree of Science in Nursing from Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, GA and a Master’s degree of Science of Nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner from Troy University in Phoenix City, AL. She graduated in 2018 with her Doctorate in Nursing Practice- Nurse Executive from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Profession. In addition, she is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives as well as a Nurse Executive Advanced- Board Certified. She is a member of multiple national societies to include the American College of Healthcare Executives, American College of Nurse Executives, and Georgia Hospital Association group- Georgia Organization of Nurse Leaders. She was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau in 2003.
Michelle is a wife, mom of 6 and a Gigi to 5! She loves all sports (especially when her kids are playing) and loves to read and travel.
