Area Experience Leader

Amanda Fazakerly, MS MBA LSSBB is the Area Experience Leader on the senior leadership team at Kaiser Permanente Sacramento Medical Center. In this role, she leverages performance improvement science and human-centered design to drive the inpatient care experience strategy. As a clinician (Certified Brain Injury Specialist and medical Speech Language Pathologist), wife of a traumatic brain injury survivor, and new mother, she understands firsthand how the experience of care can impact both clinical and organizational outcomes.
Amanda joined KP as an Administrative Fellow, completing rotations with executive leadership at KFH Fresno and TPMG North Valley. After the fellowship, she advanced to Senior Managerial Consultant in the Local Portfolio Management Office (LPMO) at the Sacramento Medical Center. In this role, she collaborated with the Area Portfolio Leader to drive the implementation and maturation of the daily management system (DMS), lead interdisciplinary performance improvement projects, and coach leaders in the Associate Improvement Advisor (AIA) program.
Prior to joining KP, she practiced medical speech pathology (SLP) at UC Davis Health, taught the graduate level course in dysphagia management at CSU Chico, and served as an executive board member for the Medical SLP Council of CA (MSCC) and California Association of Speech Language Hearing Association (CSHA). As member-elected secretary-treasurer for CSHA, she oversaw a $1M+ annual budget and membership growth strategy and led a legislation task force to amend SB1453 for increased SLP access to endoscopic training.
