She was a key leader on the team responsible for installing the largest and most complex technical, electronic health record systems in the industry and coauthored the chapter on implementation in the book “Connected for Health.”
In addition, she managed ambulatory care services which included call centers, ancillary services and direct care delivery. She currently works as a consultant for The Center for Health Design working with colleagues in health care planning, design and construction. She manages the EDAC (Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification) program which provides education about evidence-based design, a process that uses research to develop design strategies linking design to improved outcomes in patient, worker and environmental safety, quality and satisfaction. The process also promotes measurement and evaluation of results to be shared to add to the body of knowledge in the industry. She also programs and facilitates the Built Environment Network (BEN) which brings together senior executives responsible for healthcare facilities management from organizations across the country.
