Jessica McGee serves as the Director of Clinical Nutrition at UNC Medical Center, where she leads both Clinical Nutrition and Patient Food Service Operations. With 15 years of progressive experience in healthcare, Jessica is a Registered Dietitian who has developed expertise in optimizing both inpatient and outpatient Clinical Nutrition services. At UNC, she has been instrumental in pioneering the Clinical Dietitian Professional Advancement Structure and implementing a comprehensive Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program for the Nutrition and Food Services (NFS) team. Jessica co-led the Human Milk Improvement Committee, successfully transitioning the service to a 24-hour operation that significantly enhanced patient safety.
In addition to her role at UNC, she is the co-chair of the UNC Hospitals Directors’ Advisory Council, Chair of the Support Services Local Quality Operations Council, Co-Executive Sponsor for UNC Hospital's Best Places to Work Operating Plan, and actively participates in the local ACHE chapter, Triangle Healthcare Executives' Forum, serving on the Board as Co-Chair of the Education Committee.
Jessica is passionate about quality, leader development, team engagement, and professional growth. She serves as a formal mentor through ACHE and UNC Medical Center. She enjoys sharing leadership insights and best practices through public speaking opportunities.
