Kimberly A. Rex, MHA
Rex currently serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, a position she has held since September 1, 2018. Her scope of responsibilities include business operations, budget, finance, human resources, clinical functions oversight in collaboration with Dayton regional clinical partners, and capital planning. Joining Wright State in 2010, Rex has held various operational leadership positions in support of the medical school’s mission of education, research and community service.
Prior to coming to Wright State, Rex began her career at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, where most recently she served as the Director of Operations for the Center for Child and Family Advocacy, now known as the Center for Family Safety and Healing. In that capacity, Rex collaborated with a multidisciplinary team of pediatricians, behavioral health clinicians, child protective services, and local law enforcement under one roof to provide comprehensive medical and social services to victims of abuse and their families. Before her first leadership role there, Rex was a project manager in planning and business development, which was responsible for the oversight of rapid growth in the construction of Nationwide Children’s Close to Home Primary Care Centers across the greater Columbus metropolitan area, among other roles.
Rex has been an active member of the Dayton Metro Chapter of the American Heart Association (AHA) since 2016 and currently serves as immediate past chair of the Board of Directors of the chapter. She is also a passionate member of the Go Red for Women Executive Leadership Team of AHA.
Rex is a two-time graduate of Ohio University in Athens, with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a Master of Health Administration.
