Karen Bradshaw currently serves as the Regional Director of Community Health for SSM Health providing leadership to the Community Health Team in both the St. Louis and Southern Illinois regions working directly in rural, suburban and urban communities. She came to SSM Health in November 2022 after many years of direct experience as a Social Worker and Nonprofit Executive in clinical and community settings working directly with individuals/patients, organizations, health systems and collaboratively for equity-focused systems change. She brings a commitment to always striving for social justice, patient and community-centered care delivery systems and overall health equity.
Karen received her Masters of Social Work from Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA and her undergraduate degree in US Foreign Policy from American University in Washington DC. Karen has lived and worked in multiple locations in the United States and abroad and brings those experiences with her to this role. She has now been in St. Louis for almost 20 years and has developed a love and passion for the health and well being of her community.
