Clements University Hospital at UT Southwestern Medical Center
Traci d’Auguste began as the Chief Executive Officer of the William P. Clements Jr., University Hospital at UT Southwestern Medical Center on October 1st. She has responsibility for all of the Clements Hospital as well as Zale Lipshy Pavilion at UTSW. In this role, she has responsiblity for the strategic vision and direction of the organization while also driving operational excellence in high-quality and patient-centered care. Clements University Hospital and Zale Lipshy Pavilion have 840 beds and encompass quaternary level of care across solid organ transplant, cancer, neurosciences and cardiovascular services among many others serving the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex.
Prior to her move to UTSW, Traci was the Chief Operating Officer at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida, for 5 ½ years. UF Health Shands is a major regional referral center providing quaternary care with a level one adult and pediatric trauma center, burn center, level IV neonatal ICU and solid organ transplant programs. In this role, she was responsible for all nursing and clinical operations inclusive of pharmacy, lab, radiology, cancer center, respiratory and rehab therapies, surgical services, five emergency departments, facilities, security, infection control and supply chain for the 1,095 bed organization. She also had responsibility for the 81 bed UF Health Psychiatric Hospital and 80 bed Florida Recovery Center.
Previously, Mrs. d’Auguste was the Vice President of Clinical Operations at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, a 600 bed tertiary care hospital. In that role, she was responsible for driving the strategic growth of all clinical service lines in conjunction with Weill Cornell Medicine along with operational responsibility for procedural services, cardiac services, cancer center, neurosciences, rehab therapies, behavioral health and ambulatory practices. Additionally, Mrs. d’Auguste oversaw the planning for a new 450,000 square foot ambulatory care facility which was the largest capital healthcare investment in Brooklyn in decades. During her term, she oversaw expansion of clinical programs and integration with NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine while also overseeing the capital plan for reorganizing clinical services to support growing programs.
Prior to these roles, Mrs. d’Auguste has spent her career working in clinical operations in academic medical centers from Rush University Medical Center, University of Chicago Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.
Mrs. d’Auguste received her MBA and MSHA degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
